All investors interested in the field of energy all over the world are looking for investments with the greatest energy production, high quality, and the lowest cost.
With the development of research in the field of solar panels, work has been done to take advantage of the front and back sides of the panels in order to obtain the largest possible amount of energy.
Bifacial Solar Panels:
1- Absorb sun’s energy from both sides, from the sun directly on the upfront layer and the reflected from the ground on the back layer.
2- More expensive than Monofacial but more productivity up to 30%.
3- It can be installed in lots of positions and angles.
4- It should be installed in the Large-Scale and Commercial and Industrial (C&I) projects, where there is enough area to get both direct and reflected sun rays.
It can get the maximum energy production if the project includes sun rays’ trackers.
Monofacial Solar Panels:
1- Absorb sun’s energy from just one side, the one comes directly from the sun on the upfront layer.
2- Less expensive than Bifacial solar panels but less productivity.
3- It can be installed in specific position and angle.
4- It mostly installed in specific areas which can’t get any reflected sun rays like rooftops.
